Why does my Sleeping Bag has brown stains after washing?Updated 2 months ago

Why does my ergoPouch have brown stains?

Occasionally, small bits of organic cotton bud can get trapped inside the filling of our sleeping bags. Since our cotton is not chemically bleached, the pigment from these tiny buds may burst and cause brown marks to appear on the fabric, especially after the first wash. This is a natural occurrence when using organic cotton and does not affect the quality or safety of the product.

While this is rare, organic cotton is more sensitive than treated fabrics and can sometimes react in this way. It’s important to note that these marks are harmless.

We’ve tested using stain removers and found that the marks can typically be removed. We recommend soaking the bag to help lift the stains. If you prefer a natural solution, bicarbonate of soda is also effective. For stubborn stains that don’t come out, please reach out to us for further assistance.
